Even when not one of your best work, i cant deny that it is a fine work.
Maybe its my taste which stops me from enjoying those pieces which are publicly acclaimed (Nirmiti as a best example)
Yet, as a standalone track, your work here is great. I`d say that the melodies and feelings you try to express are nothing too unique (not by your standards). Again, maybe its my fault that i find your melodies somewhat generic. at least from orchestration standpoint. Im probably just used to your stuff by now :P

So the melodic parts are how they are: good, but not groundbreaking. The true magic comes from the drops. Tough im not a fan of the general method you used for this one i do adore how some bass combinations turned out. Some can give me chills (most notably the one in 2:25 and 4:28) It is a simple, yet delightful to listen to.

Overall, its another strong piece, but nothing what would make an impact in my opinion. Ill be waiting for that moment in your evolution more than urgently ;)

Still a fiver cause i cant really think of any flaws which could put it lower.

I adore this one.
It makes me fall into somekind of state which is hard to describe.

Intro is very chill while epic in the same time. Like a fantasy story.
Now the buildup. I cant just handle it since it gets me weak from the knees every time. While the drop itself is very fun and creative i cant forget the absolute impact i got from the buildup. I can say the same about the afterdrop at 2:14. It is nothing too special, but the flow of that part leaves a mark.
2nd part goes similarly, but with one, somehow even more awesome exception. The buildup, even when at first very weird, manages to leave even bigger impact. Not that its anything too unique, its just the fact that you decided to glitch everything up adding a very engaging twist for 2nd drop.

I would criticize the repetitive melodies and somewhat lazy solution in 2nd part, but i would ignor and destroy the fact that it works as a whole. Im not to critique mixing cause im not too good at it myself :P

Anyways amazing work and deserves the "top of the year" title too well.

and how exactly is this dubstep?

Bey-V responds:

Good point

Absolutely beautiful :)

I adore the clean brass and the drums, ooh the drums. Cant think of any flaws due to the enjoyment this track has set me in.

Take those 5 stars and be proud cause i didnt expect anything this epic in the "unscouted section"

Thank you very much sir! It's been awhile since I've received such praise - I'm glad you enjoyed so much.

Amazing, as always.

I absolutely adore the folk approach which just makes this one epic. Im not one to citicize the mixing cause i am not too good at it myself, but i can absolutely give my opinions on the melodies. And boy how they sound. It is as if there was a journey taking away the minds of explorers with its unexpected surprises, stunning sights and dangerous, but fun atmosphere.

Just the raw power within this makes me just a lover of the story and no critic to judge its actual technical goods and/or problems.

Thanks for this delightful experience. Keep up the good work :)

Wow, I didn't expect to have so much compliments!
I don't know what I can say except : Thanks a lot :)
I'm really happy you like this one. I know, about the mixing is really far to be great, (This still be the most difficult part for me too, when I compose) however, I put all on the melodies, and I'm really happy to see I can bring you with me on this little journey!

Thanks again, thanks for the 5 stars! More compositons like this one will come soon :)

Everything is great. It picks a theme and follows it while being really fun in the process.

There is one thing tough. The tambourines and crashes feel out of place. Like if someone would play them OVER the actual track rather than them being inside the track. I dont know if it is intentional, but it sadly dragged me out of this, otherwise delightful world :/

Fortunately it is just a minor complaint and doesnt completely overshadow the greatness of the whole track. Simple, but fun.
Keep up the good work :)

PancakePocket responds:

Wow, you are good, yes, the tambourines and crashes were made separate from each other, then put together at the end. *clap emoji *clap emoji *clap emoji. Thanks for the review! I’m glad you like it!

Too heavy for me to handle. I still cant decide if its a good thing or a bad thing...

The distortion at 1:35 is a bit much as well and the sound in general is wayy too loud.

You tried, but major flaws are holding it back.

Truly amazing experience.

Great job :D

Thank you brah for your review! :D

Cheers! And happy new year!

Melodies are off. I find part at 2 minute mark more distracting than harmonic.
Instrumentation is a bit corny as well. Im not saying this often, but this track really is just trying too many things. There really isnt a theme i can catch. Is it supposed to be groovy electro or upbeat house?
Not mentioning some mixing issues, but i wont bother you with this. I recommend you to be more critical of yourself. Listen the track before releasing for last-moment fixes.
It can save projects (it has for me)

I would give it 2.5, but for the sake of Newgrounds rating system you`ll get 3.
Be more skeptical and by all means, dont rush. You can do better.

Pretty clean but tad generic :/
